It's no secret that scrolling through the feeds of some of the many talented interior designers and photographers on Instagram is one of our favorite pastimes at MyDomaine headquarters. That's why we recently took a deep dive into the app to search for dreamy bedroom inspiration.

Simple and Neutral

Posted by photographer Tessa Neustadt, this bedroom was designed by Thea Segal and Dorianne Passman of Thea Home. The image immediately stopped us mid-scroll thanks to its strikingly simple design and neutral palette. It features a wooden platform bed, a single piece of large scale art above the bed, and a pair of matching sconces that add to the perfectly symmetrical place. Additionally, the white walls work seamlessly with hardwood floors and a neutral rug.
Understated

This shot comes from photographer Amy Bartlam. Designed by Courtney Nye, it's an understated space filled with thoughtful details. The bed is lifted up by a wooden frame while a cushioned bench sits at the foot of the bed on top of a large patterned area rug. A potted plant sits in the corner by a small window adding dimension and color. The three perfectly hung prints are displayed above the bed offer a nice element of symmetry. These neutral tones will put anyone into a sweet slumber.
A Desert Oasis

This dreamy, desert oasis was created by interior designer Sara Combs. Located in Joshua Tree, the bedroom is brimming with rustic details fitting for its location. A wicker pendant light hangs from the ceiling above a low-sitting bed. Layers of jute, woven, and sheepskin rugs make the space feel cozy and welcoming. Oh, and did we mention that you can stay the night here?
Traditional and Cozy

We stumbled upon this beauty on designer Katie Hodges' Instagram profile. The bedroom, photographed by Bartlam, is a dramatic makeover of a major renovation project. Exposed wood beams highlight the tall ceiling where a traditional chandelier hangs above the space. Tall, black posts frame the bed and the large space offers plenty of room for a pair of armchairs and a potted tree. In the distance, you can also see a luxurious free-standing tub through the open doors of the primary suite. Now that is dreamy.
Primary Suite
The term “Primary Suite” is now widely used to describe the largest bedroom in the home with an en suite bath, as it better reflects the space’s purpose. Many realtors, architects, interior designers, and the Real Estate Standards Association have recognized the potentially discriminatory connotations in the term “Master.” Read more about our Diversity and Inclusion Pledge.
Unique

This unique space comes from designer Kirsten Grove. Although it's a mostly all-white space, a dark, moody mural coats a wall on the far side of the room. It adds a welcome pop of color to contrast with the crisp paint color, white duvet cover, and pendant lamp above.
Serene

Interior designer Nicole Davis recently posted this beauty that was shot by Alyssa Rosenheck. Located in a mountain ranch home, it features exposed wood beams on the ceiling and a statement-making bedframe. The large bed is covered in decorative throw pillows and blankets fit for a serene night's sleep while a gray shag rug contrasts with white carpet and the white curtains that drape over a large window. This just beckons a sleep-in.
Bold

This green and white bedroom will inspire you to try something a bit daring in your space. Designed by Amy Elbaum and styled by Jickie Torres, the unique space was photographed by Bartlam. Although just one wall of the bedroom is painted a rich shade of green, the color saturates the space and makes an impact. It contrasts with white paneled walls, shades, and a glam bedframe. A contemporary light fixture and wall sconces infuse the space with gold accents while fun decorative elements like hats and a woven wall hanging brings the space together.
Contemporary

Another gem found on Neustadt's Instagram profile, this space is utterly sleek and contemporary. The large bed sits low to the ground on an off-white bedframe and is covered in neutral throw pillows. A large gray area rug takes up nearly the entire room adding warmth and contrast from the light hardwood flooring. Instead of traditional pendant lights or sconces, innovative string lights hang down from the ceiling for visual interest. Best of all, the calming space leads right outside through a floor-to-ceiling window. We can just imagine afternoon naps spent here with a cool breeze to lull us off to sleep.
